Tantric Bodywork is one small part of the wide ranging Tantric Arts. Some of the other disciplines include Tantric Yoga, Tantric Meditation, Tantric Breathing, and of course, Tantric Sex. For more information on Tantra as a whole, you will find many resources online.
Tantric Bodywork is steadily gaining in popularity in the US. Although you will have no problem finding Tantric Healers in larger cosmopolitan areas, they tend to be more scares in other parts of the country largely due to common misconceptions associated with the practice.
It is also difficult to define Tantric Bodywork. Since there are no set standards, every healer may do something different (my interpretation will follow below). So you can never quite be sure what you are getting when you hear the term "Tantric Bodywork". Often it is used as a "buzz-word" for a simple sensual or sexual massage. That is not the case here.
The primary purpose of Tantric Bodywork is to awaken the Kundalini. The Kundalini is a very powerful, intense and healing form of energy that (for most people) is lying dormant at the base of the spine. To fully awaken this powerful energy can take years of devoted practice in the various disciplines of the Tantric Arts. Thus one Tantric Session should not be expected to result in the end goal rather it should be used as a stepping stone.
Once awakened, the Kundalini will rise from its resting-place at the base of the spine and move upward, energizing and healing, eventually re-circulating throughout the entire body. The Kundalini is known to infuse a tremendous amount of energy into a person, and is believed to have an incredible ability to heal almost any affliction, be it physical, emotional or spiritual.
It's worth further noting the misconception of Tantric Bodywork is based in the theory that when the Kundalini is awakened, or drawn out, it also awakens the sexual energy in the body. However the Kundalini is different and distinct from the sexual energy, but the two are connected & intertwined. So as the Kundalini is awakened and drawn out of hibernation, so also is the sexual energy in the body. Along with the Kundalini, it is channeled and circulated throughout the entire body. Needless to say, this can be very pleasurable, but it is important to keep in mind that this is only a side effect, secondary to my purpose of awakening the healing power of the Kundalini. The side benefit of course is meant to be explored with your significant other and can be a valuable asset in strengthening or rekindling committed relationships.
Spectral Healing Tantric Light Touch
Spectral Healing Tantric Bodywork - Sessions are a time of deep relaxation whereby the Reverend assists you in discovering your natural ability to re-direct your energy flow. The ceremony takes place amidst candle light and spritual music as you rest upon the temple Alter. The Reverend begins by guiding your breathing to a slow meditative state. As you peacefully drift away tingling sensations dance across your skin. The Reverends finger tips and nails guide your energy in rhythmic patterns of light touch. Special emphasis is placed on the chakra zones. From head to toe your energy is directed by the healing hands of the Reverend as you get closer to the awakening of the Kundalini.
